The Animal Marketing Podcast, Episode 14: Banfield Foundation Series with Kim Van Syoc
Updated: Apr 24, 2020
For the fourth installment of The Animal Marketing Podcast and Banfield Foundation collaboration, Avenue Founder and CEO, Anna Madill is joined again by guest host Kim Van Syoc, Executive Director of the Banfield Foundation as they talk about how the current COVID-19 landscape has impacted the animal welfare industry.

In this episode, guests Melissa Vecera, Rescue Bank's Director of In-Kind Operations, and Denise Bash, Director of Disaster Relief for GreaterGood.Org discuss what it takes to feed pets across the country amid a disaster different from anything ever faced before.
As a result of COVID-19, pet food is in high demand—many animal shelters are running out of supplies in their food pantries and low-income, homeless and unemployed pet owners are struggling to put food on the table and in the bowls of their pets. Rescue Bank, the national feeding program of GreaterGood.org is working nonstop to move pet food across all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the USVI. Thanks to the generous donations of pet food manufacturers, Rescue Bank serves hundreds of thousands of pets each year and delivered 20 million pounds of food in 2019 alone.
