New Year, New Avenue
It’s finally 2017. We’re a year older, a year wiser, and full of ambition. With the new year brings a new logo, a brand-new website, and the formation of new partnerships. Additionally, our team has created New Year’s resolutions in the form of our newly outlined values that will pave the way for a year of success and many more to come. But first, here are some highlights from our 2016 in case you missed them:
What happened in 2016?
Avenue was founded on March 25th, 2016. We are fast approaching our first birthday, so stay tuned for the festivities that we have in store to celebrate this milestone in two short months.
We built our business from the ground up and helped companies launch, build, and grow their brands through digital, creative, experiential, social, and content marketing work that generated impactful business results.
We engaged with our community through volunteer work, and supported some of our favorite non-profit organizations.
We grew our team from one person to a team with killer digital marketing skills, ready to tackle the year ahead.
In December, our team took a trip up to the beautiful Timberline Lodge to do initial strategic planning work, participate in team building activities, and hit the slopes together.
Our city endured a snowstorm large enough to land it in the top 10 in Portland history.
We gained a worthy mascot, a puppy named Juju Bee.
And that's just a short list.
What’s new in 2017?
New logo
To kick off the new year, we have created a new logo. We loved the old one (sketched by hand by our Founder during one sleepless night last March), but we believe the new logo represents the direction our agency is striving towards, with a clearer perspective of who we are.
New website
Our website will play a crucial role in building and promoting our company brand. It was designed to showcase all of Avenue’s capabilities and accomplishments through our personality, perspective, and unique voice. It is a milestone in Avenue’s life, and it was time to finally show the world how awesome we are!
New team member
We welcomed a new member on board, Michelle Pinkley! We know she will be a great addition to the team because she always brings her A game, and sometimes she brings us donuts!
What’s coming up in 2017 & beyond?
We are excited to announce that we will be moving office locations! (Only 2 blocks down Alberta.) The new office space is above Bunk Sandwiches and the famous Salt & Straw, so you could say our lunch options just got a lot more exciting.
All in all, Avenue had a great 2016. Now, moving forward, we will use Avenue's new core values and outlined goals to guide us through another year of playing hard and working harder.
